The Department of Social Work at California State University, Stanislaus invites applications for the position of Hybrid Field Coordinator. This is a full-time faculty appointment in our MSW Program. The Hybrid Field Coordinator is responsible for assisting the MSW Field Director in leading and managing the field education programming for the MSW Hybrid Program. The Hybrid Field Coordinator has responsibility for supporting the administration of the field sequence in the Department of Social Work-Hybrid Program and to ensure that the sequence is consistent with the MSW Program’s mission, goals, and objectives and that it meets the Council on Social Work Education accreditation standards. The Hybrid Field Coordinator is a full-time, 12-month, lecturer position. Workload assignments include directing hybrid practicum-related activities and teaching courses consistent with qualifications. The Hybrid Field Coordinator serves as an on-going member of the MSW Hybrid Committee and MSW Field Committee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master of Social Work degree

  • Four years post-MSW practice experience
  • Understanding of the service systems, social and cultural issues in the central California region
  • Demonstrated commitment to the pursuit of social justice
  • Familiarity with approaches to supervision
  • Understanding of the importance of partnerships between the MSW program and community social service agencies
  • Ability to establish networks and collaborate effectively with university, community and agency personnel at the local and state level.
  • Awareness of the National Association of Social Work practice standards
  • Ability to prioritize and manage volume of work
  • Basic computer and software knowledge and skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A potential candidate’s consideration will be enhanced by evidence of:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Work with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
  • Academic teaching or social service training experience
  • Interest and competence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population
  • Experience with online pedagogy
  • Knowledge of current trends and issues impacting digital learning in higher education
  • Ability to coordinate many varied academic and field education responsibilities, work under pressure, meet deadlines and adjust priorities
  • Familiarity with the Council on Social Work Education accreditation standards and competency-based education
  • Skills with and/or ability to learn computer systems and software, and multimedia skills
