Overview

Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a one-year visiting position in the Department of Italian beginning Fall 2019. The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor, depending on qualifications. Applicants must possess or be close to completing a doctorate in Italian Studies or Comparative Literature, preferably with a specialization in the 18th to the 21st centuries. Teaching load is 3/2 and includes first- and second-year Italian language and the possibility of one upper-level course. The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in the life of the academic program. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and ability to create inclusive learning environments for a diverse student body is required.
