Responsibilities include teaching 12 undergraduate hours per semester, with some administrative duties to include scheduling and staffing of courses. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Family and Consumer Sciences (or related field) are preferred; a minimum Masters degree is required and candidates who are ABD will be considered. The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences is a small department (about 30 majors and 30 minors) offering Bachelor degree programs in FACS and FACS Education along with a Nutrition Minor and several minor emphases, including Child Development, Personal Finance, and Consumer Economics. FACS also offers a wellness course in the university’s core curriculum. The program has a Food Sciences Lab and an Apparel and Textiles Lab.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in Family and Consumer Sciences or closely related field with an ability to teach a variety of courses in the FACS program.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Family and Consumer Sciences, demonstrated teaching ability, and willingness to do some administrative tasks for the FACS program.
