Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success. West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Graduate Social Work invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 2018.

We are seeking candidates with a strong commitment to social justice and human rights interested in teaching social work practice courses (foundation or advanced) at the graduate level with expertise to teach in other content areas such as policy (foundation or advanced), oppression & liberation, and other courses as needed. This position will require faculty to teach both day and evening classes in the MSW Program at the West Chester and Philadelphia campuses. Other responsibilities include: engaging in scholarship and service to the department, university, profession, and community. Experience/interest in program leadership is a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must possess an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program and have a PhD in social work or a related field, or a DSW. ABD candidates who have successfully defended their dissertation proposal will also be considered with evidence, but applicants must complete all degree requirements prior to employment start date. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of post-master’s degree direct practice experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong preference will be given to applicants with past macro practice experience.
