The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor of English position within the Department of Arts and Humanities. This appointment is expected to begin August 1, 2019. This position is an academic year (10 month) appointment.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching English courses (including developmental co-requisite composition courses) full-time at the college level. Responsibilities include teaching 12 credit hours of first-year composition courses, Learning Support co-requisite courses, and literature courses in both fall and spring semesters; summer teaching opportunities are based on student enrollment.
The candidate must work cooperatively with others and be willing to teach face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online classes at the Brunswick campus and/or the Camden location as needed. While demonstrating excellence in teaching, the candidate will contribute to departmental and college committees, advise students, and demonstrate a commitment to scholarship and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications and Training
Ph.D. in English from a regionally accredited institution must be completed by July 1, 2019.
