CBU is seeking a deeply committed Christian philosopher for a tenure-track position in our philosophy program within the School of Christian Ministries. Candidates must be willing and able to teach the following courses: Introduction to Philosophy, Goodness Truth and Beauty, Logic, History of Western Philosophy, Apologetics, Aesthetics, Epistemology, Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, Metaphysics. This position also involves recruiting for majors and minors.

QualificationsCandidates should have experience in the classroom articulating the relationship between faith and reason, theology and philosophy, and Gospel and mission; must demonstrate a strong commitment to their local church and understanding of the Southern Baptist expression of church life and mission; and must exhibit a spiritual maturity that can be a model to our students. Ph.D. prior to August 2018 preferred; advanced ABD considered. Candidates must fully and conscientiously embrace the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) and be an active member of a Southern Baptist church.
