Indiana University Kokomo seeks a full-time, non-tenure track, lecturer of philosophy. This is a 10-month position beginning August 2019. Candidates will have broad training and interests in teaching undergraduates across historical time periods and branches of philosophical inquiry. Course load will be four courses in each of the fall and spring semesters.
Candidates must hold at minimum a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Philosophy. Ph.D. is preferred. The successful candidate will be prepared for possible online teaching, participate in the assessment process, and engage in other appropriate service activities. Applicants are encouraged to speak to their background and experiences in teaching a range of Philosophy courses; online course development and instruction; contributions to campus service opportunities; efforts with student engagement outside the classroom (including retention, recruitment, or mentoring); and curricular assessment.
