Overview

The Department of Political Science at Eastern Illinois University invites applicants for a non-tenure track position in Political Science at Eastern Illinois University. This department offers three undergraduate majors, including Political Science, an International Studies option, and a Civic and Nonprofit Leadership option. At the graduate level, the department offers an M.A. in Political Science and an online M.A. in Political Science with a Public Administration and Public Policy option.

Candidates must have a doctorate in an appropriate field or ABD status with evidence of substantial progress toward degree completion. Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring is essential. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach courses in Public Policy and Public Administration, with some American government courses. Undergraduate courses include introduction to American government, introduction to public policy, and state and local government, and online graduate courses include public policy analysis, applied research methods in public administration and public policy, budgeting, and urban policy. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
