Position Description: Instructor of English. 9-month position with possibility of annual renewal. M.A. in English from a regionally accredited university and evidence of teaching excellence required. Department Instructors teach General Education courses, primarily on-campus First-Year Writing courses. Standard course load is 4/4. Other duties include department and university service, research, and may include advising of students (70% Teaching; 20% Service; 10% Research)
Minimum Qualifications: M.A. in English or related field from a regionally accredited university and evidence of teaching excellence required.
Preferred Qualifications: Promise of effective teaching, productive scholarship, and useful service. Experience teaching first-year writing.
Appointment Date: August 8, 2019
Salary Commensurate with education and experience.
