The Behavioral and Social Sciences Division has an anticipated opening for a full-time History Instructor. This position will be responsible for full-time instruction in History both online and in the classroom, maintaining office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of Blackboard for communication and feedback. This position will teach on multiple JCTC campuses.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Academic advising
  • Course and curriculum development
  • Internal and external community service
  • Educational leadership and professional development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:┬áMaster’s degree in History or a Master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in History. Experience in, and understanding of the importance of, working with students from diverse backgrounds required. Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience preferred. This position requires the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment, which consist of frequent contact with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, staff, and the public.

SALARY: Salary based on qualifications and experience.
