The School of Professional Studies at Anna Maria College invites applications for a full-time Director of Criminal Justice Programs. The School is looking for an innovative leader who is an experienced faculty member in criminal justice or related field and who is able to help both the graduate and undergraduate programs adapt to the current criminal justice environment. The school is committed to developing an interdisciplinary perspective and a commitment to provide our students with relevant learning experiences in public safety and security with an emphasis on social justice and fostering ethical and civic responsibility. Program administration and duties included, but are not limited to: participation in onsite student admission and recruitment activities, academic advising, curriculum review and design, ongoing program and learning outcome assessment that meet the NEASC and Quinn Bill Standards, reporting on criminal justice and Quinn Bill eligibility to Department of Higher Education, course assignment and scheduling, faculty development and mentoring, and budgeting. It is expected that this candidate will continue to advance our local, state, and federal, and international relationships.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or advanced degree in Criminal Justice preferred. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of seven years prior administrative experience and a minimum of five years college-level teaching experience. The applicant should hold scholarly interests in issues related to criminal justice, public policy, victim studies, forensics, or information security.
