Overview

Responsible for instructing courses in English; providing instruction on all Wiregrass campuses and at any high school in the Wiregrass service area as needed; preparing lesson plans for classroom and online instruction for credited arts and sciences courses; developing program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives; evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports; attend professional development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences; ensure safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area; meet with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students’ instructional programs and other issues; assist with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts. This position will require instruction at local high schools that participate in the MOWR program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master Degree in any field AND 18 graduate hours in English. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in English. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.

SALARY/BENEFITS:

Salary is $41,200. This is a full time position with standard State of GA benefits.
