This position requires a 4/4 teaching course-load, and additional responsibilities will include: student advising, ongoing research and scholarship, curriculum development, and a strong commitment to the values and mission of the college. A passion for working with undergraduate Social Work students in Catholic higher education is essential.
The BSW Social Work Program currently has over 50 undergraduate majors. They are served by two full-time faculty members and over six adjunct faculty members. The BSW Program has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 1974.
Preferred candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Social Work or related field with a Master in Social Work from an accredited social work program. Candidates must have a minimum 4-years of teaching experience at the college level, and a minimum of two years post masters social work experience in a social service agency is required. Candidate will have knowledge of the Council on Social Work Education accreditation standards, and experience in working with an accredited program. Licensure in social work is a requirement for this position.
