The Department of Politcal Science at the University of Cincinnati invites applications from candidates to serve as Director of a re-established Master of Public Administration program and as a faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor with tenure in Political Science. This appointment is scheduled to begin August 15, 2018. Area of research specialization is open. Candidates whose work would contribute to university commitments to research on social justice, urban politics, and/or social inequity are encouraged to apply. While the appointment will be in Political Science, interested candidates would have the opportunity to establish affiliations in related departments. Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Administration or Public Policy or other relevant field, and have a demonstrated record of successful teaching, research, and service.
Preferred candidates will have had direct involvement in a NASPAA-accredited MPA program, and be familiar with the accreditation process. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the restoration of the MPA program and strategically lead the program through accreditation. Responsibilities include conducting research, teaching core courses in the MPA program, and providing administrative oversight of the program.
