Overview

The Leadership, Ethics & Values Program (“LEV”) at North Central College invites applications for a three-year visiting position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Ethical Leadership and Coordinator of our newly funded Character Education Certificate Program beginning August 1, 2019. North Central was recently awarded a significant grant by the Kern Family Foundation to develop initiatives in character education for school leaders, teachers, and others interested in character education. The coordinator will work with the Director of LEV to establish and develop a high-quality Character Education Certificate program. The successful candidate will also teach undergraduate courses in ethical leadership in LEV and become a member of a strong faculty. We anticipate being able to convert this position to a permanent one in the near future. This is a unique opportunity to join a long-established, but energetically growing program in leadership and values.

A terminal degree is strongly preferred. Applicants must demonstrate a history of innovation and creativity, a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship that would advance the Character Education Certificate Program and Leadership, Ethics & Values Program.
