The George Mason University Department of Modern/Classical Languages invites applications for a one-year, renewable Term Assistant Professor in Classical Studies to begin August 2017. Teaching responsibilities are 12 credit hours (four courses) of undergraduate instruction per semester: Greek and Roman literature in translation, mythology, special topics in ancient culture and reception. Service responsibilities include some undergraduate advising.
- M.A. in classics (Ph.D. is preferred); and
- Demonstrated excellence in college teaching at the undergraduate level.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
