ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION – (full-time, tenure-track) – The Department of English and Modern Languages at Missouri Western State University is pleased to solicit applications for a tenure-track assistant professor beginning fall 2018. We invite applications with a specialization in technical communication and experience with first-year and/or advanced composition. The successful candidate will have experience teaching courses related to our program offerings, and will be prepared to teach all levels of courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs in technical communication and composition. Possible course assignments include undergraduate and graduate courses in documentation, instructional design, and research methods. All department faculty are expected to maintain a well-defined and productive research agenda, as well as to contribute to the department, college, and university. Candidates should expect to teach select courses online; graduate courses are offered online or in the evening.

REQUIRED: Ph.D. in technical or professional communication or related discipline in hand no later than August 15, 2018. Employment is contingent on proof of the legal right to work in the U.S. An appointment is not final until all documents are provided.
