Applications invited for a tenure-eligible assistant professorship in English with specialization in postcolonial literature. Duties will include a full time teaching load of 12 hours per semester which may consist of a variety of English courses at the undergraduate level. Advising students on curricular requirements and course schedules related to registration. Participation in scholarship, research and/or creative activities and professional societies. Provision of service to the University and the community. Such additional duties as may be designated by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and/or the Chairperson of the Department of English. In addition, all Marshall University faculty must display a firm commitment to general education, including contribution to the University’s general education curriculum with its emphasis on a common First-Year Seminar, critical-thinking classes and the College’s support of interdisciplinary programs of study.

Required Qualifications
PhD, or its foreign equivalent, in English or related. Must have specialization in post-colonial literature.
