Job Summary/Responsibilities: The Department of Philosophy invites applications for one non-tenure track faculty position to teach 100 and 200 level philosophy courses that fulfill General Education requirements. Whether this position is full-time or part-time is to be determined depending on funding and enrollment.

These positions are represented by the Illinois State University Education Association and may have associated dues or fees.

Required Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in Philosophy conferred by start date of appointment
2. Prior teaching experience
3. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
4. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD in Philosophy
