The Department of Modern & Classical Languages in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Spanish (Peninsular literature and culture) beginning August 1, 2019. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at all levels of the Spanish language program, including courses in Peninsular Spanish literature and culture. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to our professional Spanish program. Candidates who can contribute to one or more of the College’s interdisciplinary programs are especially encouraged to apply.

Ph.D. in Spanish or related field required; ABD candidates will be considered. Native or near native fluency is required. Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.
