Teaching responsibilities include Introduction to Sociology, Classical and Contemporary Theory, Medical Sociology, and Gerontology.  Also, any course that focus on the sociology of health, illness and health care delivery would be invited.  A course that addresses the growing need for medical practitioners to develop intercultural communication competence in the medical encounter would be particularly invited; these courses will serve our sociology majors as well as students in our various health care majors.

We place a high value on community partnerships, service learning and faculty and student research.

As part of a successful interview process, candidates will be expected to provide a demonstration of teaching effectiveness.
