The Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Philosophy. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month position with benefits beginning August 2017.

The assistant professor will carry a 4-4 teaching load and offer courses primarily for the undergraduate general education philosophy curriculum. The new hire will be able to carry out an ongoing research agenda, provide service to the department and University, and have the ability to service areas of the philosophy curriculum that are ethics focused. Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate teaching experience and research competencies in ethics or social-political philosophy.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

PhD in Philosophy in hand with the equivalent of least one year of fulltime teaching experience.
