Teaching responsibilities are both at the main SHSU campus in Huntsville, Texas (located 70 miles north of Houston), occasionally at The Woodlands Center (40 miles south of Huntsville), and online. Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Sam Houston State University invites applications for a full-time (3/3 load), tenure-track position in German at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek a dynamic professor who is eager to continue to build the German Studies program through an innovative vision consisting of curricular development and interdisciplinary collaboration across colleges. The required teaching load is 6 courses annually and consists of teaching German language, literature and culture courses (with online and face-to-face delivery) at the elementary, intermediate and advanced levels.
