The University of North Georgia invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of English on its Gainesville campus.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include teaching four English courses each semester. Courses include Teaching English (teaching methods), Composition Studies for Teachers, and other areas of English including literature and composition.
- Service is expected (secondary school visits for classroom observation of interns, academic advising, serving on department and university committees, etc.); Scholarly activity is also expected (presenting at academic conferences, publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals, etc.).
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
- Ph.D. in English.
- Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience teaching college-level courses, to those who have experience in teaching on-line courses, and to those with secondary school experience in English.
