Overview

The Department of History in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Louisiana State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in US Antebellum Southern history. We welcome applicants working in a variety of sub-fields. Eligible candidates should be prepared to teach the US history survey as well as upper division and graduate courses in their area of specialization. Teaching load of two courses per semester.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD in History specializing in the early nineteenth-century; evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarship.

The appointment begins August 2019.
