Washington College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2018, pending budget approval. Ph.D. should be in hand or very near completion; salary is competitive. We seek candidates whose graduate transcripts, teaching experience, research, or other experience demonstrate preparation to teach courses in International Relations, with the ability to offer courses in international relations theory, international organization and law, international political economy, and one or two courses related to the politics and international relations of Sub-Saharan Africa to contribute to the interdisciplinary concentration in African Studies. Candidates who are interested in working to develop experiential learning opportunities internationally and/or to contribute to our vibrant model diplomacy program are especially welcomed. Some senior thesis advising, undergraduate advising, and occasional internship supervision are required. The position will be jointly appointed with our inter-disciplinary International Studies program.
