Montgomery College is seeking a full-time Spanish faculty member for the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. Assignment begins January 13, 2011, contingent upon available funding.
Starting salary range is $46,521 to $67,971 per academic year.

Spanish - Position #2720 Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and demonstrates the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Masters degree in Spanish or a related field.
Superior proficiency in Spanish.
At least two years of full-time or equivalent part-time college/university teaching of Spanish.
Experience with the use of instructional technology in the language classroom and with effective methods of foreign language instruction required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with foreign language program and curriculum development.
Distance Learning experience.
Community college teaching experience in a multicultural setting is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Courses to be taught may include beginning through advanced Spanish and introductory Spanish and Latin American literature.
Faculty members teach 30 semester hours per academic year. Opportunities exist for faculty to teach summer school.
Faculty members are expected to contribute to curriculum planning and review.
