Description Summary:
The Director of the Social Program interacts with the Dean of Faculty, faculty, staff, students as well as agencies and other colleges with Masters and Bachelors Degree Programs in Social Work. The incumbent's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, planning, organizing and executing the necessary activities to carry out the goals and objectives of an accredited baccalaureate program in Social Work including teaching.

Responsibilities:
Supervise the activities of the faculty and students associated with the program; recruit, hire and evaluate (including retention and promotion) all full-time and part-time social work faculty for recommendation to the Dean of Faculty in accordance with the governance structure of the college; monitor the work of the social work faculty, meet with faculty on a regular basis and assign work loads including courses and other student/faculty related work activities; develop a program budget sufficient for the achievement of the objectives and goals of the program; supervise curriculum of the program including scheduling and assignment of courses, propose changes in the curriculum, and maintain overall evaluation of curriculum through the process of feedback from students, faculty, field instructors and the Advisory Board; maintain adherence to the CSWE standards for reaffirmation; participate in mentoring and academic advising of undergraduate students; committee work as required; other services as required by the Dean of Faculty.

Qualifications/Requirements:
An MSW from a CSWE accredited institution; excellent organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication
Skills; knowledge and understanding of the Social Service Delivery Systems; ability to interact positively with all
members of the Concordia community; an understanding of and affinity for the mission of Concordia College.
