This is a full-time, 9 month, tenure track position in the Liberal Arts Department - International Studies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching courses in International Studies as assigned such as Cultural Anthropology, Comparative Politics, Political and Cultural Geography, Critical Issues in World History, International Political Economy, Cultural Minorities, The American Family, Introduction to Sociology, and Non-Western Societies; posting and maintaining regular office hours; attending regularly scheduled faculty and department meetings; participating in professional development activities.
Position requires a Ph.D. in Sociology with significant academic credentials and teaching experience in World History, Comparative Politics, Cultural Anthropology, Cultural Geography, and International Political Economy in addition to international specialization, teaching subjects related to specialty at the college level, and evidence of successful research. Excellent oral and written communication skills required along with the commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring. An ongoing commitment and achievements in research, scholarship, and faculty development are required. Experience with online delivery of courses is preferred.
