LECTURER, ANTHROPOLOGY

We are seeking an individual to teach Introduction to Social and Cultural Anthropology. Two sections are available. Times: MWF 9:10 - 10:10 a.m. or TTh 1:10 - 2:40 p.m.
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in course and class preparation and grading on a daily basis, spend three (3) hours each week providing classroom instruction, and hold office hours between two (2) and three (3) hours each week. Candidates should also be comfortable in a small-classroom teaching environment (approximately 30 students) with an interactive learning emphasis.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or ABD in social or cultural anthropology, have prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level, which could include a minimum of two (2) semesters teaching as a graduate student, and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate, liberal arts education.
Salary and benefits are competitive and subject to the availability of funding sources.
